“Let me tell you something you already know, the world aint all sunshine and rainbow, it’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there if you let it. You, me or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it aint abut how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!” ~ Rocky Balboa

Life is tough. It will get even tougher if we don’t move with the waves. If we sit there and allow things to slip through our fingers and before our eyes of course will end up hurt, really badly.

Each and every experience we go through is for our sake. To allow us to grow, to learn something from it and if we can’t extract something positive out of each experience, moment and scenario then its a waste of time.

Once we learn to accept hurt but stand up against it, we start to develop. To become skilful. Determination grows inside. We start to create a vision of where we want to be. What we have to do to get there. Until were able to stand up for ourselves we will continue to drown and the deeper it gets, the harder it will be to float.

Were all trying to somehow ‘make it.’ Achieve something in our lives and reach some stage or position in life. We need all the hits we can get in life to make it worth the journey. To look back and say it was all worth it.

Whether its a bad day or a mistake you made in class or work, the tube you missed or coffee you spilt, an email you forgot to reply to or meeting you didn’t make, we can still stand up and change that. Its not about whats gone now, its about what you do today to keep moving forward.
